Your rights at risk?

I am always amazed when, on social media, I see post after post from people who are complaining about the President, the senator, the republicans, the democrates, the tea partiers, the occupiers and every other "group" they disagree with.

When I go to meetings, these same people are not at the meeting. They aren't interested in being involved at all. Their sense of participation goes no further than the screen they stare at.

They yell about the government folks stepping on this right or that one, but they forget that they gave permission to the powers that be to continue to dismantle our freedoms.

Either practice the 1st Amendment, or don't bother complaining about losing the rest of the rights.

Voltaire on Freedom

"...So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent, and will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men." Voltaire, Fran├žois Marie Arouet (1694-1778), Philosophical Dictionary, 1764
